More shock; he liked seeing it. They hadn’t read from the book since moving into the woods. It was like it hadn’t been needed. Well, that was changing. He was going to have to remind them of their place.
“Obviously, we will be reading much more often from the book. You will learn your parts.” The message was clear, they would be tested.
Pacing the floor in front of the group, his footsteps echoed on the rough planks. “The Word of Kota is the only word.” He stopped and waited.
